For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty on September 29th 1918 when the enemy positions East of BELLENGLISE were attacked. This N.C.O. was wounded when nearing the village of MAGNY LE FOSSE, but it spite of this he continued to lead his Section with great determination, clearing a portion of the village. He led his Section with great determination, clearing a portion of the village. He led his Section through to its objective and supervised the consolidation and remained in charge until ordered to return to the Dressing Station. He was instrumental in capturing several prisoners. This N.C.O. is not in possession of any decoration.
