For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty on the 29th September 1918 when enemy positions East of BELLENGLISE were attacked. During the attack by the Battalion on MAGNY LE FOSSE he located a machine-gun which was causing casualties. He immediately led his section round a flank and charged the gun capturing the team. This man is not in possession of any decoration.
